Mendful is building on-demand, human-forward + AI-supported conflict resolution as everyday relational infrastructure. We run paid training cohorts and 1-hr intro workshops while preparing for platform launch and early B2B pilots. We’re seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of the organization and a trusted partner to the CEO (and CMO). This is a hands-on, systems-oriented role for someone who loves turning complexity into clarity. With a methodology rooted in Nonviolent Communication, Convergent Facilitation, and somatic practices, Mendful delivers fast and profound solutions to interpersonal conflicts in under two hours. The mission of Mendful is to foster a cultural shift from division and polarization toward genuine dialogue, repair, and collaborative relationships. Role overview This is a full-time remote leadership role for a strategic, hands-on CMO who can build from zero. You will own brand, growth, customer acquisition, storytelling, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy. You won’t inherit a large team or big budget. You’ll help create both. You’ll work directly with the founder/CEO and leadership team to shape how Mendful is positioned, who we reach first, how we grow efficiently, and how we become the trusted name in modern conflict resolution. Compensation: equity-based until funding closes, with transition to salary thereafter. What you’ll own • Build and lead Mendful’s overall marketing strategy • Define positioning, messaging, and category leadership • Design low-cost, high-creativity growth systems • Drive customer acquisition across organic, partnerships, referrals, PR, and paid channels over time • Build content engines across video, social, email, and thought leadership • Create measurable funnels for awareness, conversion, retention, and referral • Lead brand awareness and public relations efforts • Develop early enterprise/B2B pipeline support with founder • Recruit and lead future internal and external marketing talent Who you are • Proven builder who has grown a startup, early-stage company, or challenger brand • Strategic thinker who also executes quickly amd gets the amount of hands-on work needed for a startup • Strong storyteller with excellent instincts for messaging and audience psychology • Comfortable with ambiguity, iteration, and fast-moving environments • Data-informed and obsessed with learning what actually works • Excited by mission-driven work with large market potential • Strong collaborator who can partner closely with founder, product, and operations Especially valuable experience • Consumer marketplace, two-sided marketplace, coaching, wellness, SaaS, or trust-based services • Community-led growth or creator-led growth • Viral/social content systems • PR and thought leadership launches • Early-stage fundraising narrative support Why this role matters Conflict is everywhere.
